Zambia have set up a semi-final clash with Zimbabwe after beating Malawi 4-2 on penalties on Sunday.
Chipolopolo trailed behind until the 89th minute when Emmanuel Chabula equalised to make it 2-2 and forced the game into a penalty shootout.
Malawi had taken an early lead in the second minute of the game through Gabadinho Mhango who converted from the spot before Gerald Phiri doubled the advantage on minute 50.
Zambia got back into the track seven minutes with Austin Muwowo starting the comeback.
The clash against the Warriors which is scheduled for Wednesday will be a repeat of the 2018 final which Zimbabwe won 4-2 after extra-time.
Meanwhile, Botswana came from behind and knocked South Africa out of the tournament.
The Zebras were two goals down at the break but managed to restore parity before the final whistle and later won the encounter 5-4 on penalties.
Botswana will now meet Lesotho in another last four round tie set for Tuesday.
