Rahman Gumbo will take charge of the Warriors’ Cosafa Cup semi-final clash against Zambia on Wednesday.

Gumbo is covering for coach Sunday Chidzambwa who has returned home following the death of his father on Sunday.

According to Star FM journalist, Yvonne Mangunda, Chidzambwa will rejoin the team in South Africa on Thursday before taking an 18-man squad to Nigeria for a friendly match on Saturday.

“Rahman Gumbo will be the coach for the COSAFA Cup semi-final against Zambia on Wednesday,” said Mangunda in a Facebook post.

“Coach Sunday Chidzambwa has returned to Zimbabwe for his father’s funeral. He will return to SA on Thursday and fly with the 18-man squad for Saturday’s friendly against Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, Lloyd Mutasa will assist Gumbo during the clash against Zambia.
