Zimbabwe has accepted to take part in two inaugural Women’s tournaments organised by Cosafa.

The regional football body has introduced the Under-17 and Under-20 tournaments to be played in Mauritius and South Africa respectively.

The Under-20 competition will happen from 1 to 11 August in Port Elizabeth while the U17 tournament will be played from 13 to 22 September.

Meanwhile, the only competition for junior women’s teams has been the biennial Region V games organised by the Africa Union Sports Council while the U17 girls have not played any regional tournaments.
