Ten-man FC Patinum beat Chiefs as Yadah, Herentals register wins

Ten-man FC Platinum cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bulawayo Chiefs in a Match-day 12 encounter played at Luveve Stadium.

The Platinum Boys netted all their goals in the second period after the game went to the break goalless.

A quick brace from Albert Eonde gave the visitors a two-goal advantage in the opening two minutes of the half.

On the other end, Chiefs blew a chance to pull one back just moments after the hour when Arthur Musiyiwa was denied from the spot by the keeper.

FC Platinum finished the game with a man short after Lawrence Mhlanga come from the bench and received two bookings before the 80th-minute mark. The expulsion, however, did little damage as the Zvishavane side went on to kill the contest with another goal on the stroke of full-time scored by Never Tigere from a free-kick.

At Rufaro Stadium, Ashwin Chihowa scored on his league debut as Harare City lost 2-1 to Herentals.

The Students got their goals from Juan Mutudza who on the quarter hour mark cancelled out Chihowa’s 8th-minute effort. Blessing Majarira netted the winner from the spot ten minutes into the second half.

Across the city at National Sports Stadium, Black Rhinos and ZPC Kariba played to a goalless draw while Yadah beat Chapungu 2-1 at Mandava Stadium.

The Stars got their goals from Ariel Makopa (24′) and Ralph Matema (78′) and the home team secured the consolation from Allan Tavarwisa’s penalty kick on minute 35.
