European and S.A clubs after Chicken Inn player – Report

Chicken Inn striker Clive Augusto has reportedly attracted interest from a European club and a number of teams in the Absa Premiership.

The forward has been in top form since the start of the season, netting eleven goals in 12 games, and also took home the Player of the Month award for April and May and is likely to retain the accolade again for the period of June.

According to The Chronicle, South African teams Golden Arrows, Black Leopards and Maritzburg United have formally written to Chicken Inn who are expected to make a decision by the weekend.

An unnamed European team has also enquired about the services of the player.

“The club has been inundated with calls and emails for the services of Clive Augusto from South Africa Premiership sides and another one from Europe, which is being kept under wraps,” an unnamed source told the newspaper.

“Golden Arrows are at an advantage having dealt with the club before for the transactions of Danny Phiri and Devine Lunga. If they (Golden Arrows) table a good offer they will secure the services of the striker.”

Chicken Inn are said to be preferring an offer over invitation of the player for trials.
