Billiat’s Warriors future: Agent comments following reports of quitting national team

Khama Billiat’s agent Mike Ngobeni has allayed fears that the midfielder will retire from international football following a disastrous Afcon campaign.

The 28-year-old is believed to be among a group of players who have grown frustrated with Zifa’s antics and are considering quitting the Warriors.

The association has been accused of owing players money and it was revealed last week that the team was told to buy own tickets to fly back home after the end of their Afcon campaign.

Billiat had to chip in and help his other team-mates to secure the tickets.

In an interview with Sowetan, a South African newspaper, Ngobeni refuted the claims that his client wants to quit international football saying:

“Khama is still going to serve his country and will play for the national team.

“Of course Zimbabwe is struggling financially, which we all know about.

“Even if he has to pay for his own ticket, he will do that and not complain about it.”
