Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is considering naming wantaway French midfielder Paul Pogba as captain of the club.
Pogba revealed that he wants to leave the club, a request which his agent also confirmed, but Solskjaer believes he can still lead the English giants.
“Yes,” Solskjaer said when asked if Pogba was under consideration for captaincy. “I don’t think that needs explaining. We’ll discuss that later on,” he said according to The Telegraph.
“We’ve got quite a few possibilities there and when the season starts we’ll announce it,” he said. “
“Of course we’ll have a good assessment, see how pre-season goes. But, as you saw, Ashley will wear it when he’s playing until we decide on someone,” he added while addressing the media after United’s preseason game against Perth Glory yesterday.
