Uncertainty affected Caps United: Chitembwe

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe believes uncertainty over his future affected his team’s performance in the last two matches that he was absent from the bench.

The Green Machine drew against TelOne before losing to ZPC Kariba after the alleged clash between Chitembwe and club vice president Nhamo Tutisani over ‘team selection’.

Head of the medical team Nicholas Munyonga had resigned in a huff after the continued selection of Method Mwanjali whom he felt was not fit enough to play.

“This win against Yadah was really good for the team, the fans badly needed it. It’s hard for a team to perform when there is uncertainty within the club,” said Chitembwe.

Caps United beat Yadah 2-0 with goals coming in from John Zhuwawu and Joel Ngodzo. They play rivals Dynamos in their next match this weekend.
