Nottingham Forest have reportedly rejected an offer from Wigan Athletic for Zimbabwe international Tendayi Darikwa.
Wigan had approached the Reds in a bid to sign the full back in this pre-season, but according to Nottingham Post newspaper, the offer was too low.
However, it is unknown if the Championship club will return with a fresh bid, but Forest are said to be in no rush to sell the defender.
Darikwa is likely to be a key figure in the Nottingham squad and coach Sabri Lamouchi views him as a player who still has a role to take at the club.
The 27-year-old produced a lively performance in the 3-0 win over Atromitos on Saturday and is expected to be involved again when they take on sister club Olympiacos tonight.
