Nengomasha gives Billiat advice regarding his future

Kaizer Chiefs legend Tinashe Nengomasha has advised Khama Billiat to stay at the club.

The Zimbabwe international has become a target of some North African teams following his performances at the 2019 Afcon.

The interested clubs include Egyptian sides Al Ahly and Zamalek, Tunisia’s Esperance and Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.

In an interview with Sowetan on Tuesday, Nengomasha warned the midfielder against leaving Amakhosi, saying he should avoid a “Neymar-like standoff” with the club.

“Billiat must remain at Chiefs. We do not want to see another Neymar situation with him. He’s at the peak of his career. I think the only move that he must consider is going to Europe,” Nengomasha told the publication.

“Neymar now wants to return to Barca because he wanted money at PSG. Billiat must see that as a lesson. He seems happy in SA, he knows the league and his family is closer to him. I feel if he can move to North Africa, two years later he will regret.”

Billiat arrived at Chiefs ahead of the 2018/19 season after the end of his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns.
