Sturridge banned for 6 weeks for bet scandal

Daniel Sturridge has been banned from football for 6 weeks for instructing his brother to place a bet on him moving to Servilla.

The former England international was also fined £75 000 for breaching the FA gambling regulations.

It is stated that he instructed his brother Leon to place a bet on him moving to the LaLiga side thereby providing with inside information for that purpose.

Sturridge, as stated by Sky Sports News, has been given a six-week ban, four of which have been suspended until August 31, 2020, meaning he is free to play football again from July 31 in the event he commits no further breaches of FA’s guidelines.
