SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has revealed his aspirations to win the league in the upcoming season.

The Zimbabwean gaffer took charge of his debut campaign as the substantive coach in the 2018/19 season and managed to finish in the 6th position.

In an interview with SuperSport TV, Tembo spoke about the chances of winning the league and he believes his team is targeting to triumph in the next campaign.

“If we look back on last season, up until the last four games we were mathematically in the race,” he said.

“I think we always want to go out and compete and make sure we fight. We are also in the mix of the teams who want to win the league.

“It is key for us to make a good start although we have four tough games, to begin with. Those games will map out the rest of our season.”

SuperSport United will start the 2019/20 campaign against Mamelodi Sundowns before facing Orlando Pirates in the second round.

They follow up with matches against Kaizer Chiefs and Baroka FC.
