The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has declared Esperance de Tunis as the Champions of Africa following a ruling on Wednesday.
The Tunisian side were controversially stripped of the trophy after CAF announced that the second leg of the Champions League final be replayed.
This was after the Esperance’s opponents Wydad Casablanca refused to continue playing due to issue with the faulty VAR system.
The Tunisians were initially declared the winners on the evening but CAF later made a U-turn.
Both clubs the referred the matter to CAS who have ruled in favour of Esperance.
Meanwhile, CAF and CAS are yet to release official statements on the developments.
