Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given his players the priviledge to choose their captain for the upcoming season and beyond.
Addressing the media ahead of tomorrow’s Community Shield against Liverpool at Wembley, the Spaniard said it was up to the Citizens to chose their skipper, a possition left vacant by the departure of Vincent Kompany.
“When Fernandinho comes back next week they are going to decide who will be their captain,” said the former Barcelona coach.
“They have to be together when they choose their captain, with everyone around. They have to, im not going to choose,” he added.
