In a bizarre turn of events, Warriors captain Knowledge Musona is reportedly set to undergo surgery for the same ankle injury which he previously claimed had been healed by popular Nigerian preacher Temitope Balogun Joshua.

The 29-year-old had been struggling with that injury for some time but made headlines prior to AFCON when he appeared on TB Joshua’a channel Emmanuel TV giving a testimony that he had been ‘instantly healed’.

He had a below average AFCON by his standards, with only the chest pass to Ovidy Karuru in the build up to Khama Billiat’s goal against Uganda, his only standout moment at the continental showpiece.

It has since emerged that Musona might not have been 100% fit for the finals and according to The Herald, the Warriors skipper is set to undergo surgery for that same ankle injury at a specialist in Munich, Germany.
