Chicken Inn striker Clive Augusto has joined ABSA Premiership side Maritzburg United.

Augusto, who was the league’s leading marksman with 14 goals and will moved down south to join the Team of Choice according to Chicken Inn head coach Joey Antipas.

“Clive is no longer with us, he is gone to Maritzburg ), so it’s like a big setback but we just have to move on, life goes on without him, we’ve just got to move on and we need to play without him said Antipas following Chicken Inn’s 1-1 draw with Yadah at Luveve Stadium.

It will be the KZN side’s second signing of a Zimbabwean in a short period of time after snapping speed merchant Gabriel Nyoni from CAPS United a few months ago.

Augusto has had a blinder of a season so far, with many captivating moments, his hat-trick against CAPS United at the National Sports Stadium being the standout moment.
