Philippe Coutinho has left Barcelona to join German giants Bayern Muninch on a season-long loan.

Bayern will pay an €8.5m loan fee with an option to buy for €120m next summer.

Speaking after completing his move, the Brazilian said: “For me, this change represents a new challenge in a new country at one of the best clubs in Europe. I am really looking forward to this. I have big goals like Bayern, and I’m sure I can do it with my new team-mates.”

Coutinho had a difficult time in his first two season in Spain following his arrival at the start of 2018.
