Khama Billiat is expected to make his return to action this weekend after missing the opening part of the new season with an injury.

The Zimbabwean winger last featured in a pre-season cup game against Orlando Pirates. He felt the pain of a knock which the club claims he picked at the 2019 Afcon.

Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp confirmed some time ago that the player has recovered and will be available in the match against SuperSport United.

“He will be available for selection on the 24th of August,” said Middendorp.

The player’s absence had fueled speculation that he was on his way out out of the club following heavy links to his former club Mamelodi Sundowns who confirmed the negotiations are taking place.

However, Chiefs rubbished the claims and declared Billiat is staying at the club.
