Antipas bemoans missed chances

Warriors coach Joey ‘Mafero’ Antipas belives missed chances are the reeason why the team became the first side to lose to Somalia in over 31 matches.

Antipas’s men succumbed to a shock 1-0 defeat to the Somalians on Thursday, the East African nation’s first positive result in football in over 10 years and the coach beamoned missed chances.

“We missed a host of chances and became desperate as the game went on and Somalia were dangerous on the counter attack,’’ said Antipas according to The Herald.

“The pitch was artificial and hard and to compound to our woes, we did not have a single session together due to the hectic travel arrangements.’’ he added.

The former Motor Action coach also admitted that had it not been for goalkeeper’s Chipezeze’s saves, the result would have been worse.

“Elvis (Chipezeze) kept us in the game with a good double save,” he said of the Baroka goalkeeper.
