Antipas hints on making changes in Warriors team

Warriors coach Joey Antipas has hinted on making some changes in the team that will face Somalia in the return fixture of the 2022 World Cup, preliminary round qualifier at National Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

Zimbabwe is trailing 1-0 on aggregate following a subpar performance in the first leg on Thursday.

“One thing I can say is that you will see a different team out there on Tuesday, and we are going to go out there and get a result that is going to make us qualify for the next stage,” said Antipas in an interview with The Standard.

“I believe if our guys can step up the game and produce the performances that they usually produce, then we have a good chance of going through.

“We are making one or two changes… We need to work on a change defensively and also a change in attack.”

To reach the group stages, the Warriors need to overturn the deficit without conceding. A victory with margin of more than two goals can also see them progressing.
