Bosso CEO reveals more on those responsible for paying coach de Jongh’s salary

Highlanders CEO Nhlanhla Dube has revealed more on the consortium that is responsible for paying new coach Hendrik Pieter de Jongh’s salary.

de Jongh was appointed the new mentor last month, taking over from Mandla Mpofu who was demoted to the role of an assistant.

In an interview with Sunday News, Dube stated that the Dutchman is not getting anything from the club’s sponsorship deal with NetOne and his package is financed by a separate consortium.

“He’s not on NetOne sponsorship but on a separate sponsorship,” he said. “Of course NetOne are our main sponsor so he carries the brand too.”

Dube, however, could not reveal the names of those looking after the coach as they do not wish to have their identities revealed.

“The package is financed by a credible group of businesspeople who are committed long-time fans and members of the club.

“They have requested absolute anonymity. I’d rather leave it at reputable individuals. That’s the confidentiality agreement and we, as you know, are very strict about the confidentiality of sponsors and partners,” Dube added.

de Jongh has already taken charge of two games which he both won including a 1-0 victory over rivals Dynamos last weekend.

He leads the team this afternoon against Herentals.
