Benjani Mwaruwari named among Africa’s greatest EPL players

Former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari has been named among Africa’s greatest English Premier League players at the Best of Africa (BoA) awards.

The BoA awards are held annually in London to honour the outstanding members of the African diaspora living and working in the United Kingdom.

This year’s edition took place on Sunday where the list was first announced and Goal.com will be unveiling the 100 players throughout the week.

So far Benjani is the only Zimbabwean player who has been unveiled. The 41-year-old spent six years in England, starting his career at Portsmouth before featuring for Sunderlands, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City.

Other Zimbabweans expected on the list are Peter Ndlovu and Bruce Grobbelaar who competed prominently in the EPL during the 90s.
