I know nothing about Confed Cup opponents, admits Mangwiro

Triangle United coach Taurai Mangwiro says he does not know much about their Confederation Cup opponents FC Nouadhibou of Mauritania.

The Sugar Boys were paired with the West Africans in the play-offs of the competition following a draw on Wednesday.

Nouadhibou were relegated from the Champions League after losing 6-1 on aggregate to Wydad Casablanca. Triangle, on their side, cruised past Azam in the first round.

“To be honest with you, I don’t know much about this team,’’ said Mangwiro, according to the Herald.

“So, it calls for us to go and try to find out more about them.

“What we know is they are champions of Mauritania and that they have played in the Champions League a couple of times.

“The fact that they are coming from the Champions League should tell us that they are not to be taken lightly.”

The first leg of the tie will be played in Mauritania on the 27th of this month and the return fixture is scheduled for November 3 in Bulawayo.

The winner will progress through to the group stages.
