Nakamba can become a Premier League great: Ashely Preece

Renowned British journalist and Aston Villa correspondent Ashely Preece belives Zimbabwen midfielder Marvellous Nakamba can become a Premier League great with time.

The 25-year-old has become a darling of the Villa fans because of his outstanding perfomances since he made his Premier League debut for the Dean Smith-coached side against West Ham and Preece believes the former Club Brugge man is destined for greatness in the English top division.

“Du, du, du, Marv-elous Nak-amba. That’s the famous song which rang out around Carrow Road after the Zimbabwean’s all-action display. Is coming into his own now and looks a gem at £11million. You get the feeling there’s so much more to come from Nakamba who, at 25, is approaching his prime years. Could become a Premier League great based on current form although it’s still very much early days. Took his time to get into Smith’s side after nursing an injury from AFCON. The gaffer, though, chucked him in against West Ham at Villa Park and Nakamba hasn’t looked back. Currently keeping Douglas out of the team and that’s no mean feat.” wrote Preece in the Birmingham Mail.
