CAPS United coach Darlington Dodo says he wants to coach at national level before he retire from football management.

The 48-year-old was part of the Warriors technical team, led by Madinda Ndlovu, which played at the CHAN 2011.

His biggest coaching role came in August when he took over at the Green Machine following the departure of Lloyd Chitembwe. He has managed to steer the team to the top of the log standings with nine matches before the season ends.

In an interview with The Standard, the gaffer revealed that he is setting his sight on bigger things.

“I would love to coach at national level, be it junior national teams or the senior national team,” said Dodo.

“At one time I was part of the national team as assistant to Madinda [Ndlovu] when we went to Sudan CHAN tournament in 2011, but I still want to do more.

“I want to come back and give my best before I can retire.”

Some of the teams Dodo has coached include Bulawayo City, Tsholotsho, Township Rollers in Botswana and Manzini Sundowns in Swaziland.
