Billiat discloses current relationship with Middendorp

Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe international winger Khama Billiat has revealed that the previous spat he had with coach Enrst Middendop is now a thing of the past.

The 29-year-old had a spat with the German coach after he played the full match for the Warriors against Somalia in the World Cup 2022 qualifier preliminary round second leg at the National Sports Stadium last month, on the back of an injury which had kept him out of the Amakhosi squad.

Middendorp pubilcly showed his dissatisfaction towards Billiat but the Zimbabwean star says they have solved everything.

“We spoke about it and, yeah, as players we always want to play football and we always want to represent [the national team] whenever you’re called,” Billiat told Kick Off Magazine.

“I think I couldn’t have done better, but I had to go since the club allowed me to go, and everything was solved in a professional way, and we’re all professional.

“It’s part of our career, things can be said and done, and we have to accept it and deal with it in the best way that we can.” he said.
