ABSA Premiership: Zimbabwean players weekly perfomance review.

The 2019-20 ABSA Premiership campaign entered the match day 9 stage this past weekend with Zimbabwean players plying their trade across the Limpopo going into the battle field in defence of their respective club badges.

Knox Mutizwa scored in the second minute of Golden Arrows’ 1-1 draw with George Chigova and Walter Musona’s Polokwane City.

Mutizwa’s Warriors teammates Edmore Sibanda and Danny ‘Deco’ Phiri were also in Steve Komphela’s starting eleven, while Chigova kept goal for Rise and Shine with Walter Musona on the bench.

Tendai Ndoro scored and provided an assist in his Highlands Park’s 2-0 win over bottom-placed Chippa United. The Moyo twins, Kevin and Elvis, were in the starting eleven for the Norman Mapeza-coached Chilli Boys.

Willard Katsande captained Kaizer Chiefs in their impressive 2-0 win over title rivals Mamelodi Sundowns. Katsande anchored the Amakhosi midfield well in an entralling battle with Pitso Mosimane’s men. He  played the entire game, and so did his Warriors teammate Khama Billiat, though the latter had a relatively quiet game by his standards.

Gabriel Nyoni was unused substitute in Maritzburg United’s 1-0 win away to Cape Town City.

Elvis Chipezeze was between the sticks for Baroka when they lost 1-0 to Amazulu.
