Kadewere’s LeHavre’s winless run continues

Zimbabwe international striker Tinotenda Kadewere’s French Ligue 2 side Le Havre, played out a goalless draw against Valenciennes last night.

Le Havre have not won a game in Ligue 2 since the 30th of August, a winless run spanning across 6 consecutives games in the French second tier division.

The Warriors striker’s blistering start to the season, which saw him score nine goals and provided 2 assists in the opening six games, had resulted in many believing they can challenge for the title and promotion to Ligue 1.

Since their last win in the league however, Le Havre have drawn with Paris FC (0-0), also drawn with US Orleans (2-2), lost at home to Chatearoux (0-1), lost to Benjani Mwaruwari’s former side AJ Auxere (0-2), drew at home to Lorient (2-2) as well as last night’s goaless stalemate.

Consequently, they are now 6th on the table with 18 points from 12 outings but mathematically still in the title race as only 4 points seperate leaders Lorient and 10th placed Clermont Foot, in a tightly-contested top half.
