Dynamos settle for another draw as CAPS United lose ground at top

Dynamos settled for another draw, playing to a 1-1 draw against Manica Diamonds at Vengere Stadium on Wednesday.

The Glamour Boys last picked up a victory in August and the latest result is their sixth draw in a row.

Sean Gona opened the scoring for the visitors in the 55th minute following a cagey affair in the first half.

The lead, however, didn’t last long as Last Jesi equalised in the ten minutes later as both teams settled for a 1-1 stalemate.

In Harare, CAPS United also dropped points, playing to a 1-1 draw against Herentals.

The Green Machine came from behind with Dominic Chungwa equalising in 55th minute to cancel out Blessing Majarira’s 47th-minute advantage.

The result sees CAPS United losing ground at the top as FC Platinum moved to within two points behind in the second position.

The Platinum Boys edged out Ngezi Platinum Stars 2-1 in a match played at Mandava Stadium.

Mandla Mlilo gave Madamburo an early lead but Lawrence and Devon Chafa netted for the hosts as they collected maximum points.

Chicken Inn also stumbled after losing 2-0 to Harare City in a match played at Rufaro Stadium.

Results:
Manica Diamonds 1-1 Dynamos
CAPS United 1-1 Herentals
FC Platinum 2-1 Ngezi Platinum
Harare City 2-0 Chicken Inn
B. Chiefs 3-1 Mushowani Stars
