Barcelona suffered a shocking 3-1 defeat to Levante in a LaLiga game played today.

The log leaders seemed to be in control of the game when Leo Messi thrust them into the lead from the penalty spot in the first half but they conceeded three goals in eight minutes in the second stanza as Levante came back from behind to tear them apart.

To make matters worse for Enersto Valverde’s charges, star striker Luis Suarez limped off with an injury and was replaced by Carles Perez.

Barcelona’s third defeat of the season means rivals Real Madrid can leapfrog them into first position should they beat Real Betis in today’s late kick off.
