ABSA Premiership midweek fixtures: Zim players performance review

Zimbabwean players plying their trade across the Limpopo were in action for their respective sides in the ABSA Premiership midweek games and here is how they performed.

Willard Katsande skippered Kaizer Chiefs in their 2-0 win over bottom-placed Chippa United. The Moyo twins, Kevin and Elvis, were in the Chilli Boys’ starting eleven.

Charlton Mashumba scored a hat-trick in his Polokwane City’s 5-3 defeat to Cape Town City. George Chigova was between the sticks for Rise and Shine.

Elvis Chipezeze was also in goal for Baroka in their goalless draw with Pitso Mosimane’s Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kudakwashe Mahachi came on in the 76th minute to replace his Warriors teammate Evans Rusike in SuperSport United’s goalless draw with Golden Arrows. For Arrows, Edmore Sibanda, Devine Lunga, Danny ‘Deco’ Phiri and Knox Mutizwa all started for the Steve Komphela-coached side.

Clive Augusto started on the bench for Maritzburg United’s nil all draw with Orlando Pirates. His fellow countryman Gabriel Nyoni was not in the Team Of Choice’s match day squad.
