Chicken Inn move to second position after beating frail Triangle United side

Chicken Inn moved to the second position on the log following their 2-1 victory over a frail Triangle United side in a rescheduled league match played at Luveve Stadium on Saturday.

The Gamcocks are now two points behind log leaders CAPS United with 49 points.

The hosts dominated the first half, opening the scoring in the 24th minute through Innocent Muchaneka. Xolani Ndlovu doubled the advantage four minutes as the Gamecocks took a comfortable lead before the half hour.

The Sugar Boys who haven’t had a break for a couple of weeks now due to their involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup failed to keep up with the pace and after a couple of tactical changes, they pulled one goal back in the 38th minute through their captain Ralph Kawondera.

Triangle tried to come back again in the second half but were frustrated by the home team who claimed the victory after the final whistle.
