The country senior men’s national soccer team, the Warriors, conducted their first training session in preparation for their AFCON 2021 Group H qualfiers against Botswana and Zambia.

Joey Antipas’ troops went through their paces under his watchful eye yesterday as the countdown to Friday (the day when they  meet the Zebras at the National Sports Stadium at 6pm), begins.

Star midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, who will be coming to Zimbabwe for the first time as an Aston Villa player, had not arrived yesterday and was expected today, the same goes for Belgium-based Knowledge Musona.

Yeni Malatyaspor central defender Teenage Hadebe was expected to join camp last night.

Antipas took charge of the Warriors training session yesterday but obviously with another eye on his title-chasing Chicken Inn’s important league fixture agianst Mushowani Stars, which is slated for Trojan Mine Stadium today.
