Warriors defender Alec Mudimu has reacted to last night’s disappointing 0-0 draw with Botswana in an AFCON 2021 qualifier.
The two sides met in a Group H fixture at the National Sports Stadium with the Warriors having few clear chances in front of goal, much to the disappointment of scores of fans who had have braved the rains in Harare to watch the country’s flagship football team.
Mudimu, who had a decent game in central defence alongside Turkey-based Teenage Hadebe, took to microblogging site Twitter to express his thoughts on the game.
“Difficult to put into words the outcome of only earning a point today, we dominated the full game and are very unfortunate to only come out with a draw. But these things happen in football. The key is we stay United, regroup and move on to the next challenge in Zambia,” posted the Cefn Druids defender.
The Warriors now meet a wounded Chipolopolo on Tuesday in Lusaka.
