The President of the Republic of Zambia, Edgar Lungu, has rallied the country’s national football team ahead of their potentially explosive AFCON Group H qualfier against neighbors Zimbabwe this evening.

The head of state, who is known for his interaction with the country’s football, gave the team support through a post on his Facebook page.

“Best wishes to Chipolopolo – Zambia National Soccer Team as they take on Zimbabwe tomorrow at 6:00pm at Heroes Stadium in the Africa Cup of Nations Group Stage.#WeCanDoItAgain” posted President Lungu.

In fact, according to reports from Zambia, he also suggested to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to make the stadium entrance for the game free of charge.
