Warriors make giant leap on latest FIFA Rankings, but not enough to finish 2019 in Top 100

The Warriors made a giant leap on the latest FIFA Rankings released on Thursday, but the improvement wasn’t enough to see them finishing the year in the Top 100.

Zimbabwe were in action during the November international break, playing back-to-back Afcon qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia. They drew goalless in their first match against the Zebras while in their second encounter, they beat Zambia 2-1 in Lusaka.

The national team gained 13 points and moved six places up to number 111 in the world. They also climbed up on the African standings to number 27.

Belgium will end the year as the best-ranked team in the world while Senegal retained the top spot on the continent.
