Mushekwi explains why he thinks S.A league attracts Zim talent

Warriors striker Nyasha Mushwekwi has shed some light as to why he thinks the ABSA Premiership attracts players from Zimbabwe.

The Zhejiang Greentown striker, who spent 5 years at South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns, opened up on the issue in an iinterview with Kick Off Magazine.

“Zimbabwe’s got so much talent, I’m sure we all know this, but unfortunately the opportunities back at home are not that fast like in South Africa,” explained Mushekwi.

“When we get opportunities we take them. We have so many players that I’m positive can play in the top three or five leagues in the world.”

The Zimbabwe international also thinks the decision to move to the Rainbow Nation for many players, is challenges-driven.

“Maybe we are not comfortable because of our background in Zimbabwe. In terms of our job you want to grow and get more challenges.”

“If you come to South Africa you are still not at home. Let’s say if you move from here to Egypt, you still not at home and still want to grow.”
