CAF prohibits NSS, Mandava from hosting its matches

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has disqualified the National Sports Stadium and Mandava from hosting it’s matches.

The two stadiums, owned by the Ministry of Public Works and FC Platinum Football Club respectively, failed inspections  conducted by CAF last month.

The move will be welcomed by Warriors fans in Bulawayo, after ZIFA controversially changed the venue for the Zimbabwe-Botswana AFCON 2021 Group H qualifier from Emaghumeni to the giant stadium in Harere citing lights issue, a claim which the Bulawayo City Council vehemently denied.

Amid the recent revelation, it looks as though the Warriors’ clash with defending Champions Algeria will be staged at Babourfields.
