The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has trimmed the list of nominees for its annual football awards scheduled for 7 January in Hurghada, Egypt.
The COSAFA region has few individuals who made it into the second round of voting.
Zito Luvumbo, Enock Mwepu, Percy Tau, Herenilson, Pitso Mosimane, Osvaldo Pedro Capemba, Themba Zwane and Patson Daka have been dropped in the latest list.
Only a couple of individuals in the likes of Tabitha Chawinga, Thembi Kgatlana (Women’s Player of the Year) and Desiree Ellis (Women’s Coach of the Year) were voted into the second phase of the selection.
