International home matches in limbo as stadium crisis depends

The staging of international home matches outside Zimbabwbe is a possibility as the country struggles for options to host them amid CAF requirements.

This comes after the continent’s football governing body sanctioned the giant National Sports Stadium and Mandava Stadium citing inadequate facilities.

ZIFA announced this week that the two stadiums had failed an inspection test done by CAF but Babourfields Stadium passed, even the inspectors reportedly ordered that some renovations be done on Emaghumeni, or else it will suffer the same fate.

Should the authorities fail to ensure that Babourfields meet the stipulated requirements, the Warriors and Mighty Warriors might be forced to play their international home games outside the country.
