Sweswe remains hopeful after FCP suffered two straight defeats in CAF C.L

FC Platinum coach Lizwe Sweswe believes his charges will turn around the fortunes and save their Champions League campaign.

The Platinum Boys suffered their second straight defeat on Saturday in Group B, losing 3-0 at home to Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia.

Speaking after the match, Sweswe said: “There are still more games to be played and we will keep on fighting.

“I am hopeful we will turn our fortunes around and build on the positives that we had in the game such as maintaining possession and work on the grey areas that saw us being beaten.”

Karim Aribi broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute following some sloppy defending by the hosts. The forward got his second of the day in the first minute of the second half after the home team’s backline was caught napping again.

Hazem Haj Hassen sealed the victory on the stroke of full-time with Etoile’s third goal of the match.

The Tunisians moved to the top of Group B with six points while FC Platinum remained at the bottom with no points.
