I benefited and have no shame, says Mosimane after controversial TKO final win

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimana says he has no shame benefiting from the referee’s decision that denied Maritzburg United a late equaliser in the Telkom Knockout final on Saturday.

Sundowns won the match 2-1, but it was Maritzburg who were left feeling hard done by after Judas Moseamedi’s goal in second-half stoppage time was ruled out for offside.

“My heart stopped, I thought it’s a goal, thank God I saw the linesman raising the flag, I don’t know if it’s offside or not, if it’s, I benefited and I have no shame!” Mosimane told SuperSport TV, according to Soccer Laduma.

“Some people have been getting all these benefits, I will get them, I want them for five games in a row. I’ve got no shame on that. It is the way it is in this Premier League, it’s a jungle!”

Mosimane was giving reference to some refereeing blunders that have happened in the South African PSL this season. One such incident went against his team in the 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in October.
