Knowledge Musona is set to remain at KAS Eupen beyond the expiry date of his loan contract, according to new transfer rules which are being proposed by Fifa.

The Zimbabwean striker joined the Belgian top-flight side in January on a six-month loan deal from Anderlecht. The contract is set to expire on June 30.

The world football body is setting-up guidelines to counter the effects of the coronavirus outbreak which has caused league action to be suspended.

The proposal will see clubs extending deals with players who have contracts ending in June to ensure the 2019/20 season finishes.

The Belgian league will get into the play-offs stage which could spill beyond June.

The games are expected to resume at least after two weeks when the lockdown comes to an end. The European country has 7,284 confirmed cases of the virus and about 289 have died.
