Knowledge Musona makes frank admission about Peter Ndlovu’s national record

Warriors captain Knowledge Musona has admitted that it will be difficult for him to break Peter Ndlovu’s national record but will try his best to reach the levels.

The retired Ndlovu is the country’s all-time leading scorer with thirty-eight goals while Musona has twenty-three in his tally.

The skipper, 30, netted his latest strike last Monday in the national team’s 2-2 draw against Algeria in the Afcon qualifiers. His trajectory, however, was heavily affected this year after the international football was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a Twitter discussion with his followers on Wednesday, Musona was challenged to surpass Peter’s record, and the player responded: “Those are big shoes to fit in, but l will try my best.”

Despite still trailing with a couple of goals, Musona has achieved some success similar to that of Peter. This include scoring a hattrick for the Warriors and captaining the national team at an Afcon tournament.
