Botswana FA suspends CEO over U-17 COSAFA disqualification

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has suspended Chief Executive Officer Mfolo Mfolo in the wake of the country’s U-17 team being disqualified from COSAFA 2020 over allegations of fielding over-age players.

COSAFA announced yesterday that Botswana, Zimbabwe, Eswatini and Comoros were disqualified from the regional showpiece for using players who are over the stipulated age limit.

The  country’s football governing body reacted by suspending Mfolo with immediate effect.
