DStv Premiership: Zimbabwean players round up

The South African top-flight, the DStv Premiership, resumed after the international break with a host of matches and here is how Zimbabwean players fared.

Knox Mutizwa came off the bench and provided a cheeky assist for Golden Arrows’s equalizer in their entertaining 2-2 draw with Kaizer Chiefs.

Mutizwa was the only Zimbabwean player who featured for Abafana Bes’thende while for Amakhosi, Khama Billiat and Willard Katsande did, with the pint sized winger providing the assists for both scored by Leonardo Castro.

Elvis Chipezeze on the bench while Washington Arubi was in goal for TTM in their 1-0 win over Baroka in the Limpopo Derby while Talent Chawapihwa came off the bench in AmaZulu’s 3-4 loss to defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Evans Rusike and Onismor Bhasera started for Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport United in their 1-2 loss to Orlando Pirates while Kuda Mahachi was an unused substitute.

In the same encounter, Terrence Dzvukamanja came off the bench in the second half for the Buccaneers.

Ronald Pfumbidzai played the entire game in defense as Bloemfontein Celtic lost 2-4 to Cape Town City.
