Munetsi and Kadewere’s stats in Lyon-Reims clash

Tinotenda Kadewere and Marshall Munetsi started for their respective teams – Lyon and Stade de Reims – in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter.

The match ended 3-0 in favour of Lyon with Toko Ekambi, Memphis Depay and, substitute, Moussa Dembele getting their names on the scoresheet.

Today’s clash marked the first time two Warriors stars have come against each other in the French top-flight.

And both players had decent performances in the tie with Munetsi, who played the entire match, getting a rating of 6.3 while Kadewere, featuring for 61 minutes, got 7.3.

Munetsi made a total of 41/44 accurate passes with most of them coming from his half. He won four out of nine duels and did not win three of the attempted ariels.

The midfielder also made two interceptions and five recoveries.

On the other end, Kadewere could have scored, but his effort hit the woodwork in the first half. He also found the back of the net a few moments later but was unlucky to have his goal ruled out for an offside.

The striker, nonetheless, had significant contributions in Lyon’s attacks, making ten successful passes in the opposition’s half. He won 5/8 duels and succeeded in 3/4 dribbles.

The 24-year old also made three recoveries as his Lyon side controlled the majority of the game.
