FC Platinum and Chapungu will clash in the first round of Chibuku Super Cup at Mandava Stadium.

The encounter will be a repeat of last season’s fixture where Chapungu exited in same stage after losing 2-0. With memories of that exit still in their mind, they are set to deliver a better show this time.

But it will not come easy considering their inconstancy. They have only won once and drew twice in their last five outings. Their failure to achieve a victory over their rivals is another call for concern. The Airforce side has never beat FC Platinum in top flight football.

However, on the other hand it is a confidence boost ahead of the clash for Pure Platinum Play. The Zvishavane based outfit is also enjoying success in their recent games, having won their last four matches. They will be looking to maintain that run and progress to the quarter finals.

Elsewhere Chicken Inn will face Yadah in another first round match at Ascot Stadium.

The Gamecocks are seeking revenge after Yadah handed them their first league defeat in ten matches during Match day 25. Yadah will be looking to progress to the second round after they edged Hwange 1-0 in the preliminary round.

Meanwhile, in Harare Black Rhinos will play against Triangle United at Rufaro Stadium.
