Report: Mutizwa set for Highlanders stay

Highlanders striker Knox Mutizwa is reportedly likely to stay at the club until at least June .

Mutizwa has been linked with a move from Bosso to South African side Bidvest Wits after impressing during a trial stint.

However Wits have filled up their foreign quota after handing a contract to Englishman James Keene but remain keen to sign Mutizwa and loan him back to Highlanders.

Speaking to Sunday News Mahachi’s agent Gibson Mahachi confirmed that a loan deal is on the cards.

“Wits are still interested in the deal. I spoke to their CEO last Thursday, they should come up with something said Mahachi.

“ Right from the beginning, they always indicated that they wanted to loan him back to Highlanders, it has taken long for the deal to be finalised because of the holiday added Mahachi.

Mutizwa finished as the league’s top goal scorer and a Soccer Star of the Year run up and him remaining at Highlanders could be a big boost for the club that has already lost the services of Obadiah Tarumbwa and Teenage Hadebe.
