Warriors head coach Callisto Pasuwa is confident that the squad his has chosen will deliver at CHAN 2016.
Pasuwa named his final 23 man squad for the tournament yesterday and despite some players such as Danny Phiri ruled out because of injury the head coach remains positive.
“We need to do our best and lead the nation to a stage where everyone agrees that the team has done well, we will do our best,” Pasuwa said at press conference today.
“Seriously injured players left camp, but the selected players are better off than the unselected ones.
“The selected players are the ones who suite my game plan as a coach and those who didn’t make it into the final 18 have to be strong mentally next time during the camping period,” concluded Pasuwa.
Meanwhile the squad is set to depart for Rwanda on Saturday with their first game against Zambia next week Tuesday.
